Vision
As a Church, we spent time at the end of 2006 and
during the first half of 2007 seeking God as to His specific calling to us as His people at St. Paul’s Church, Woking for 2007 and beyond. We recognised all that God had done in us and through us in our history, the community that we were then and spent time seeking the LORD as to how He wanted us to change and grow.
After several months, culminating at one amazing meeting, we believe God gave us the following statement, that, at St. Paul’s Church, Woking we should be:
- Growing as God’s People
- Reflecting God’s Love
- Sharing God’s Hope
This is the guideline that we use to consider all that we do and might do. We feel that it is important to ‘grow our strengths’ (such as being a welcoming Church, our work with the over 50s and teenagers) and ‘develop new strengths’ (such as our work with children and families).
To further our vision statement, we are very keen to increase our impact among children and their parents in the Parish and develop our ministry to teenagers and also our ‘Senior Moments’ ministry among the over 50s.
